An article from Property Wire has advised that Landlords who look to evict tenants once the eviction ban ends on August 23rd need to disclose whether a tenant\u2019s circumstances were affected by the pandemic. If the situation isn\u2019t properly investigates and disclosed, judges could throw some cases out of court.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The article has said that while landlords have been able to get mortgage repayment holidays, these are only a postponement of interest and capital repayments and nothing like the benefits of the furlough scheme that some employees have received. The new measures announced by the government will encourage landlords to engage with their tenants, as any business would with a customer to agree credit terms.<\/p>\n
